I pledge to save water in my salon so that I can help foster a sustainable future with Pureology & Green Cross International:

I will not to run the tap unless I’m rinsing.

I will use my best judgment when rinsing clients – not every client needs to be rinsed twice.

I will fix leaky taps and toilets immediately. A small leak from a tap can waste 190 litres of water a day, a leaky toilet 980 litres a day.

I will install high efficiency taps and toilets. Fitting low-flow attachments to my taps can save a massive 70% of water when washing hair!

I will limit towel use to one towel per cutting client and two per chemical client.

I will run only full loads in washing machines and dishwashers and choose an Energy Star certified model.

I will provide staff with water tumblers to minimize use of disposable water bottles.

I will offer chilled, filtered tap water. It is a more responsible alternative to bottled water or a water cooler because it reduces the amount of plastic in our landfills.

I will keep track of my water use.
